I know you’ve been waiting with baited breath to see if picking up around my steeked sleeve opening would hold as I knit my sleeves. You haven’t?!
Well, I was holding my breath, even as I did it. And, guess what, I found one more skein of the pink. Yay.
On the inside you can see the crochet work I did and the cut ends.
On the outside, the pick up is very neat and tidy. I picked up 3 stitches for every 4 rows.
One 3/4 length sleeve finished. I have to say that this construction sure makes short work of sleeve knitting. I love that.
As I approach the end of this large experiment I cast on for a new project. I’m holding it as a carrot in front of this sweater so that I get it done.
I can’t be the only one who does this, am I?

Well, I should’ve known it would all work out in the end after that terrific crochet edging you did. I love it. I think it would be a sure winner in the ‘sticky’ Briggs & Little yarn but I’m not ready for a smooth, soft yarn. You made it look easy.

It works really well with sticky Briggs and Little wool. That’s what I started with many years ago.

Hi Deb,
As always, your work looks fabulous and so great you found the extra ball of wool. Hmmm that carrot thing never works for me lol. I have at least 6 projects on the go and they all get rotated & worked on. It all depends on what I’m doing or where I’m going as to the size or difficulty of the project to work on or take with.
