Now You See It

My Family Crew Neck was progressing nicely. The body was knit to the waist, and I had knit one sleeve to above the cuff and started the second sleeve.

Then, because that little voice in my head kept bothering me, I decided to count stitches.

Oops, it was huge and my idea of working an a-line body was making it worse. So, now you see it …

… and now you don’t. Rip, rip, rip.

In the end, this was the only solution. Now I have hours of extra knitting to do. That’s not a bad thing, right?

Back on track and much happier.

Here’s hoping your knitting is going a little bit better.

Cheers, Deb

I'm a Knitter. The capital K means every day, everywhere. I'm co-owner of Cabin Fever with my sister Lyn. We have published over 160 patterns and 11 books. I'm also working on a new set of patterns for Any Gauge knitting. Dive into your stash and cast on for a Top Down sweater that fits, or an accessory to use up those odd balls of yarn.

  1. Reminds me of just the place where I put the project in ‘time out’ and eventually it gets frogged entirely. Reknitting a 52″ sweater in dk or even worsted takes so much time and I get discouraged! That is my biggest problem..getting discouraged and seeing other things I want to CO.
But I LOVE the stitch definition you got with that yarn, Deb. The center pattern really pops out!

    1. Thanks. I’m determined to finish although I can’t wait to cast on my next project. I guess that’s what’s keeping me moving forward.

    1. I didn’t recondition it but it’s doing great. The body is not as smooth as the yoke but the semi-solid coloring and the twist of the yarn is saving it. The yarn is nice and springy (W4 worsted by Shelridge Yarns).
